Introduction
The Metal Briquetting Machine uses powerful mechanical pressure to compress loose scrap metal into high-density cylindrical or rectangular blocks. Scrap metal compactors are primarily used for compressing steel scrap, scrapped cars, aluminum beverage cans, copper shavings, and other materials. The main structure of a metal compressor includes a material hopper and a compression system.
The material hopper uses a robust steel structure to withstand immense compression forces and form the compression chamber. The compression system utilizes a powerful hydraulic cylinder. This cylinder drives a massive main press head forward within the hopper, applying tremendous compressive force to the scrap metal.

Metal Briquetting Machine Working Process
The operation of metal briquetting machine follows a standardized process: feeding – pressurizing – holding pressure – demolding – briquette removal.
01. Feeding Operatio
Start the metal briquetting equipment feeding mode and pour the pre-treated metal scrap into the compression chamber.
02. Pressure Pressing
03. Holding Pressure
Once the press head reaches the set pressure, the equipment automatically enters the holding pressure stage. After the holding pressure time ends, the press head will pause briefly for 1-2 seconds to ensure stable briquette formation.
04. Demolding and Briquette Removal
After the holding pressure is completed, the equipment automatically switches to demolding mode. The press head returns to its original position, and simultaneously, the ejector device at the bottom of the mold ejects the briquette from the mold.
Applications
Scrap metal compactors are key equipment in the metal recycling chain, reducing the volume of scrap metal. They are widely used in metal recycling, automobile dismantling, and machinery manufacturing.
Advantages
01. Volume Reduction
The Scrap Metal Compactor can be reduced to 1/15th to 1/20th of their original volume, or even smaller. This significantly saves storage space and transportation costs.
02. Easy Transportation and Handling
The well-organized bales are easier to load, unload, and stack, improving logistics efficiency.
03. Improved Smelting Efficiency
For recycling plants and steel mills, high-density metal bales melt more efficiently in the steelmaking furnace, reducing heat loss. This improves furnace utilization and metal recovery rates.
04. Sorting and Management
Different types of metal can be compacted separately to avoid mixing. This facilitates subsequent sorting for recycling and sale.
05. Safety and Environmental Protection
Compressed metal debris is less likely to scatter, reducing environmental pollution and fire hazards. It also creates a cleaner working environment.
